Safeguarding Policy
Safeguarding means protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults — particularly those who may not have a voice — from harm, abuse, or neglect.
It is a fundamental commitment that ensures everyone can thrive in a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment.
At Engine House Church, we take this responsibility seriously, aiming to create a culture where everyone is protected, valued, and supported.
Statement of Commitment to Safeguarding
At Engine House Church (part of the Elim Network), we are committed to building healthy churches and creating safe spaces for all.
We recognise the risks faced by children, young people, and vulnerable adults and work intentionally to minimise harm. Children rely on adults to keep them safe, so we aim to provide a secure and encouraging environment for them to grow.
We also acknowledge that adults in our community may need care and support at times. We foster openness, transparency, and accountability in all we do.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and every person involved in the life of our church plays a vital role in protecting others.s thrive best in an atmosphere of openness, transparency, and accountability.

Every person involved in the life and activities of Engine House Church plays a role in keeping others safe.
