CLASSES
**EXPLORING FAITH? | ALPHA COURSE**
note - this class starts at 6.00pm
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions designed to explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open, and informal environment. Each session looks at a different question of life and faith, and is designed to create conversation.
The course usually runs over 10 weeks and includes three key elements:
- Food – Sharing a meal or refreshments together to build community.
- Talk – A short film or talk introducing a topic such as Who is Jesus?, Why and how should I pray?, Does God heal today?
- Discussion – A chance to share thoughts, ask questions, and explore ideas in a small group, with no pressure and no judgment.
Alpha is for anyone curious about life, faith, or God - whether new to Christianity, returning after some time away, or just exploring. It’s a space to listen, learn, discuss, and discover in a relaxed setting.
**BIBLE STUDY | PHILIPPIANS**
Joy in the Journey
Join our 10-week journey through Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Though written from prison, this letter overflows with joy, gratitude, and hope. Paul reminds us that true joy isn’t rooted in circumstances but in Christ Himself.
Philippians invites us to live with Jesus at the centre of everything—shaping our priorities, our relationships, our attitudes, and our purpose. It calls us to unity, humility, and perseverance, while reminding us of the confidence we can have in God’s ongoing work in our lives.
Across these weeks, we’ll explore what it means to:
- Rejoice in Christ in all seasons
- Live with humility and unity
- Press on toward God’s calling
- Find strength and contentment in Him
Wherever you are in your faith journey, this study is an invitation to rediscover the joy of walking with Jesus day by day. Together, let’s allow His presence to transform us and His joy to sustain us.
**BOOK GROUP | THE RUTHLESS ELIMINATION OF HURRY**
This group explores John Mark Comer’s The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, a book that invites us to slow down, simplify, and embrace Jesus’ unhurried way. Each week we’ll read sections together, discuss insights, and explore practical ways to rest, live with purpose, and deepen our relationship with God. The group is for anyone seeking to step off the treadmill of busyness and cultivate life with greater presence, peace, and spiritual focus.
**DISCIPLESHIP CLASS | EQ AND CHRIST**
Our emotions are not always great leaders — but they are important messengers. They need to be welcomed, listened to, understood, and wisely navigated. This course will support you in learning how to hear the messages behind your emotions and use them to steer yourself back to safety and connection with Christ and yourself.
Because this is the first time we are running the course, we invite you to bring open hearts, open minds, and honest feedback.
Each week’s content will build on the last, combining insights from science with scripture and practical workshops. You will be given tools to:
• Listen to and work with your emotions, understanding the biology of how your body and brain is wired.
• Learn how to bring your thoughts to Christ.
• Learn how to support yourself when experiencing tricky emotions and bring you back to safety in Christ.
• Support yourself to communicate your needs when relationships are tricky, to build grounded, connected and hopeful ways forward
PRAYER AND WORSHIP
At the close of the evening, we gather as a community for free-flow worship and prayer—thanking God, celebrating His goodness, and valuing the gift of seeking His presence together.
frequestly asked questions
Can I bring my children
Families are very welcome! While we don’t have childcare during the class time, children are invited to join us for food at 5:30pm.
Can I go to more than one class?
To get the full experience and grow together with your group, we ask that you stick to one class for the duration of the term.
This helps everyone build deeper connections and continuity in growing together.
When do I need to order dinner?
Ideally, please order by the day before, or at the latest, the morning of the event. Don’t worry if you forget—we’ll still make sure there’s enough to go around! But the best practice is to sign up in advance.
Do I have to go to the whole evening?
Come and go as you wish - we understand that you may not be able, or may prefer not, to attend the entire evening. Feel free to tailor your time to suit your own schedule and needs!
